Anthony McCrossan
Anthony is a Sports Broadcaster and Race Speaker. His voice is the background to many races across the world. He was the first english speaker of the Giro d’Italia and has now been the voice of the race for 8 editions. He has been speaker of the Tour de France and been the voice of cycling events at two Olympic Games in London and Rio. As a broadcaster he is one of the ASO team of commentators covering the majority of their major races and is the UCI commentator for all world championships and world cups on the road, track and cyclo cross. Whilst sitting at home during lockdown he decided to come up with a way to keep busy and to find the next talented young commentator. Thats why you are reading this!
Simon Brotherton
Simon is one of the UK’s finest and most diverse sports commentators. After joining the BBC in 1990, Simon is now predominantly known as one of the top tier commentators on Match of the Day having also appearing frequently on BBC Five Live, and for BT Sport as lead commentator for the European Football Show on Sunday nights. Simon has commentated on every World Cup since France ’98 and European Championship since Euro 2000.
He has also enjoyed real success as the BBC’s lead cycling commentator after making the transition from radio to television, most notably at Rio 2016 for Channel 4. He has covered 22 editions of The Tour de France.
Laura Winter
Laura Winter is a sports broadcaster, event host, commentator and journalist. She has worked extensively in cycling, presenting the British Cycling road, track and cyclocross season on Eurosport, ITV4 and BBC Sport for the last few seasons. Laura is part of the team that founded Voxwomen, the world’s first women’s cycling TV show.
Most recently Laura has moved into the world of motorsport, presenting F1 on Sky Sports F1 and the world feed, the World Rallycross Championships, and Speedway. She also works in rugby, as pitchside reporter for European clashes on BT Sport, rowing, swimming, netball and tennis, to name a few.
Rob Hatch
Rob is a well known international Broadcaster. He is fluent in four languages and the go to person for many commentators on pronunciation of riders names. He has mainly worked in TV covering Cycling, Football, Volleyball and Major Games for Eurosport and many other major broadcast networks. His voice is heard as the anchor commentator on Eurosport coverage of all major races including the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana. He can also be heard commentating on BBC Radio 5Live from both Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
